Believe it or not, it has been 10 years already: indeed, a decade separates Etana's debut album, The Strong One (2008), from her latest release, Reggae Forever (2018). Ten years, a MOBO Award (2008), and 5 albums have solidified Etana's stunning voice on the "new roots" scene.
Officially released on March 8, International Women's Rights Day, Reggae Forever proclaims its unwavering commitment to values and musical roots. These are not empty words, as it is an almost entirely reggae production that has remarkably placed her at the top of the Billboard charts for nearly two consecutive weeks, a noteworthy achievement for a reggae album.

The 14 tracks celebrate love, faith in God, mutual respect between men and women, and include some social commentary, giving the album coherence and unity. Notably, no guest artists were invited on this project, which does not detract from the intensity of the compositions, particularly "Destination," a delight of modern reggae.
