Guadeloupean artist Hélium teams up with Tronixx to present “Hood Story,” a track blending rap, reggae, and Caribbean influences. Inspired by real-life experiences, the song tells the story of two children from Guadeloupe’s working-class neighborhoods as they reflect on their memories, roots, and the realities that shaped them.

More than just a song about the streets, Hood Story is a tribute to memory, resilience, and identity. It highlights family bonds, solidarity, personal struggles, and the rich cultural heritage of Guadeloupe—without glorifying violence. The song is also dedicated to the memory of Hélium’s mother, who passed away in February 2026, giving the project a deeply personal and emotional dimension.

Filmed in Guadeloupe, the accompanying music video reinforces this vision through authentic locations and a raw artistic approach that favors honesty over spectacle.

With this release, Hélium continues building momentum toward her upcoming album, “Other Side,” following the release of several singles. Hood Story reflects her commitment to telling Caribbean stories with authenticity while giving a voice to the people and communities that inspire her music.
